About this experience

In celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, Flora of America presents an intimate portrait of Quercus, botanical genus for oak trees. Exploring the biology, ecology, and enduring beauty of our native oaks, and the profound role they play in our gardens, forests, and communities.

The event will be presented by Sahnya Shulterbrandt, a naturalist and speaker passionate about native plants and the living ecosystems they create. She will be sharing information on the tree itself and even how some furniture is made from oak wood. Other speaking points will be state flowers and symbols of America.
